Edelbrock has a long and respected history for delivering top performance. Edelbrock carburetors utilize a unique fuel metering system with a flat side design that increases top-end speed and acceleration. Altitude changes are easily compensated for through the dual venting system. Constant fuel delivery is assured through an internal fuel cell and anti-slosh plate. An adjustable accelerator pump delivers instant throttle response and makes for easy starts. Hard anodized aluminum slide and sealed stainless steel throttle shaft bearings mean high resistance to wear which translates into years of superior performance. Nickel plated finish adds a durable layer of protection against dirt, mud, and sand. Top end mixture changes are easily changed with the needle which means no jets! Every carburetor is wet flow tested and comes complete with everything you need for installation! |

This 36mm Mikuni carburetor kit for your XR400R is probably the most significant performance gain you can do for your XR400 without having to get into your motor. The TM 36-50 Accelerator Pump Carburetor will not only make your XR400 a one kick deal to start, which is one of the problems associated with the stock carb, but it will also eliminate that very noticeable flat spot right off the bottom of the powerband that all the XR400s seem to have acquired. Due to the accelerator pump on this carburetor, jetting does not play as significant a role as with other non-accelerator pump carburetors. Each carb kit comes pre-jetted for your particular application. Aluminum adapters are machined and installed onto the bell-housings for your intake manifold and air-boot to insure an air tight fit. This is the carburetor that should have been on the XR400! |
